Obama’s First Year – How Has He Done?
Posted on 21. Dec, 2009 by Josh Ray in Health Care, Yes He Can
President Obama is coming up on his one year mark and I have noticed a lot of comments lately in the blogosphere that go something like this “Obama has done more in his first year than most presidents do in their entire term.” I started thinking about that and questioning how much change he has really brought us. If you really look into it he has completely changed America while not changing Washington at all.
How has he changed America? America is turning into a socialist country and instead of arguing with the left about whether or not Obama is a socialist anymore, we now have to argue about how socialist we’re going to become. Remember 5 months ago when it was ridiculous to say that Obama was a socialist? Remember a year and a half ago when his remarks to Joe the Plumber were taken completely out of context because he doesn’t really want to spread the wealth? Do you know how many trillions of dollars the government has already spent taking over industries in our country? Most of us were against it because we are against socialism but there were some out there that said lets give him a chance because he promised to keep unemployment below 8%, do you know what unemployment is currently at?
Obama has brought change, just not the change that people were hoping for. Obama promised to change the politics of old with a new brand of non-partisan, transparent, do the right thing not the politically expedient thing and he has failed to bring that change. We could do without the government taking over our banks (thanks GW) and our auto industry, we could do without the government taking over our health care system too. It would be real nice though to see Obama actually follow through with his promise to change Washington (and leave America alone while he’s at it).
Obama realizes that he hasn’t brought about the change that America wants and that is why he is trying to force this health care reform bill down our throats before Christmas. He thinks that passing this before he hits his 1 year mark will make everyone forget about everything else that he has failed to do. Why else would congress be in such a rush to pass this? They have a majority and the White House until 2010, there is no reason for the 1 am votes on Sunday night or setting arbitrary goals that don’t allow anyone to actually read the bill they’re voting on. Liberals will tell you that the Republicans just want the Democrats to fail so that they will lose their majority in 2010 and I’m sure that plays a role in this but more importantly Republicans don’t want to see our government get even bigger and they don’t want to see our free market system eroded by a government health care option.

This is great, ya, your exactly right, Obama sucks and hasn’t done anything. Except for win Nobel peace prize, inspire millions of Americans, save our economy and now he’s going to finally fix our health care system. Get a life and stop judging the man.

I totally agree. I never thought about that before but they do have until 2010 to pass a health care reform bill that we can all agree on, why are they in such a rush? That video at the end is hilarious.

Day tuk r jobs!! & now dey tuk r healthcare! You didn’t even mention that this health care reform bill will insure the millions of illegal aliens in this country. And don’t be surprised if Amnesty is the next big issue congress tackles because after pissing off all the Americans with this health care bill they’re gonna need to win over the votes of all the illegal mexicans that they just gave free health care to.

I’m glad that you people have health insurance and have enough free time in the day to sit and ciriticize others who are trying to help. Do you ever stop and think about all of the people who don’t have insurance and are working 3 jobs just to support their family? Stop being so selfish, America has too much to allow so many of her people to suffer like this.
