Racism 2.0 – Has White Finally Embraced What Is Right?

You’re probably fully aware of the now infamous inaugural benediction offered by Rev. Joseph Lowery. It sounded great until the last minute or so when he couldn’t resist the temptation to take a jab at whitey. While I think it says a lot about a preacher that would inject political agendas into a prayer I’ll save that argument for another day.
What I really want to talk about is racism and more importantly when will it be politically correct for me as a white guy to feel discriminated against? I don’t want to be called a racist for saying that Lowery’s prayer was racist so I’m going to wait until Obama lets me know it’s okay to feel that way.
Is that the change Obama was talking about? I understand that the reverend lived through some really bad times but those times are in the past. If he’s still harboring those feelings, who’s the real racist? Obama received over 50 million votes, I’m pretty sure some of them were from white voters. I understand that his comments may or may not represent the views of Obama but if Obama wants to unify the country he could have done something besides laugh at Lowery’s racist remarks.
This was just another example of an Obama Fail. Add it to the most expensive inauguration in history during one of the worst economies, choosing all of Clinton’s old people for his cabinet and closing gitmo to appease the left. That’s pretty busy first 2 days. I’m still waiting for that change. And I’m also waiting to know when I can start blaming my problems on ‘the man.’
